The Ancient Egyptian civilization
was in the country of Egypt which is located in the north eastern region of Africa. The Mediterranean
Sea borders it on the north. The climate of Egypt is dry and arid. The reason being is that the Sahara Desert crosses
it. One of the major geographical features of this area is the Nile River, which runs northward toward the Mediterranean
Sea. The Egyptian people relied on the Nile River for food, water, and agricultural reasons. The Egyptians grew many crops such as: lettuce, barley, wheat, onions,
leeks, dill, grapes, melons, gourds, and legumes. The Nile River would
flood yearly making silt be left behind causing the land to be very fertile. The Egyptians could use the
floods for horticultural and domestic use.
The Egyptians made many advances
in technology, a form of writing, buildings and temples, medical technology, and agricultural advances. They used their land
to their abilities and made life simpler by using the Nile River. They
were an advance civilization.
Throughout their civilization,
the Ancient Egyptians had many dynasties. There were 32 different dynasties subcategorized in the late, middle, and early.
There were also many different rulers in each dynasty.
